Jeffrey Archer talks about his book The Prodigal Daughter.
It’s fairly obvious that I should take the character of Florentina Kane, Abel’s daughter who’d married Kane’s son William and make her go into politics as a first generation immigrant and more important as a woman.
And she decides from an early age that she wants to stand for office and then she decides she wants to stand for the highest office in the world and be the first woman president of the United States.
I’m about to say I wrote that novel 40 years ago and the Americans still haven’t worked out that it’s just possible a woman might do a better job than the men we have at the moment.
But find out, read The Prodigal Daughter.
